The Grenfell Golden Girls (our moniker for this particular competition), outdid themselves again yesterday, with a convincing win over the Harden Hunnies.
All six girls were in fine form, both with their bowling and their antics, making for an afternoon of fun and frivolity.
Congratulations Sandy Paine, Kathy Betcher and Rosemary Walter on a convincing win and good luck for Round 4, next Sunday.
Unfortunately, due to illness, the Club Triples Championships were won on a forfeit. This moves Sue Gault, Judy McAlister and Pat Reid straight into the Finals. This date is yet to be confirmed, but I will keep you posted.
Finally, our next monthly meeting will be held on Friday 8th November at 5.30pm. Our main topics of discussion will be Pennant preparations, our Christmas party and Presentation night, but the floor is always open for general discussion about anything that members would like to discuss.
The more members who participate, the smoother our friendly little club will run, so please try and attend and maybe stay for dinner afterwards.
Dates to remember
- Our mixed ladies days will remain on Saturdays at 1pm, until the warmer weather settles in.
- Our Skills, Drills, Coaching and Training days have been postponed until further notice as a new day and time is being considered. We will update you once this has been arranged.
- Monthly meeting Friday, November 8 at 5pm
- Summer League continues for the next four weeks.
- Last but not least, best wishes to our birthday girl of the week, Tracey Hunter.

B Grade
Well this was the local derby with Grenfell fielding two teams in the Cowra B Grade competition. Our juniors have stepped up this year and have a team in the senior competition. Grenfell White took on the Reigning Premiers at Top Lawson Park.
Grenfell White won the toss and elected to bat with Jaxon Greenway and Harrison Nowlan opening the bat, Jaxon hit a four off the first delivery and this made the senior members of the Club take note. The scoreboard was ticking until Jaxon snicked off. Unfortunately, Grenfell White lost three wickets on 40 and this put some pressure on the batters, Michael Smith came into the crease after another wicket fell and steadied the ship. M Tozer 3/21 and S Logan 2/5 did the damage with the ball and the youngsters were out for 84.
In response Grenfell Blue sent out the oldies in Terry Knight and Garry Handcock (is good to see the legend back), Grenfell blue chased the runs down in 13 overs with some bug hitting from Garry. This game was a good chance for the Club to sort out players for teams and when all players are available will see some older players in the Grenfell White.

For information regarding Grenfell Indoor Bowls please get in touch with the Grenfell Bowling Club. We play Tuesday afternoons commencing from 1.30pm with names in by 1.15pm.
