Council released its plans for the funding following it's monthly meeting last week.
The funding is aimed at helping to boost local employment opportunities, stimulate local spending and address social and community needs, help to ease pressures and share economic benefits for people living and working in these areas who have been facing tough times, due to drought.
Toilet facilities are the big ticket item in the list of council priorities with $200,000 being sought for toilets, including a disabled toilet, in Taylor Park.
Desilting of Company Dam, new welcome to Grenfell signage, portable grandstands, tennis court upgrades, standpipes in Grenfell and in villages and a greenspace project for the Grenfell Pre-School are all included as projects in line for the funding.
Players training at the Grenfell Rugby Club will also benefit, enjoying improved lighting following the proposed replacement of light poles at the ground.
And users of the community halls in Caragabal, Quandialla and Greenethorpe will all enjoy $50,000 in planned upgrades.
The proposed projects and their costs are:
- Entry Signs On Main Roads into Grenfell $80,000.
