The Grenfell and District Senior Citizens Welfare Committee met at the Bowling Club on Tuesday, May 28 for their monthly meeting.

President Dennis Hughes welcomed everyone to the meeting. He also noted six apologies had been received (probably camera shy).
The Grant Application has been rejected in the last discussions and we now have to wait for the new system to approve requests. Work to date is placed in suspension.
There was one new request for accommodation and this had been placed on the ever growing list.
Allotments will be made as per a pre-set system which does not allow for queue jumping or the like.
Unit 4 Forbes Street and Unit 16 Melyra St have been allocated and will shortly be occupied once remedial workings have been finalised.
A new accounting package will be introduced which will reduce the work load on the Hon. Treasurer and also reduce the cost of the Audit.
A new date for the next Drum Muster will shortly be announced.
Various gardening and pruning jobs mentioned in the last notes have been actioned.
Our fund raising wood raffle was won by Ms. Judy Taylor.

The next General Meeting of the Grenfell and District Senior Citizens Welfare Committee will be on Tuesday, June 25.
We would welcome all visitors to come along and perhaps they would like to become volunteers in helping to run our 35 units after they have seen us in action.
