Grenfell Tennis Club's autumn competition is heating up with two pairs dominating the night in round five of our men's Autumn competition played on Tuesday evening, February 23.

The top pairs were Graham Watt and John Richens - Graham had the bye and was filling in for Grant Fisher - with 26 games which were 8-0, 7-1, 4-4, 7-1 then there was Grahame Edwards and Rod Fruedenstien 23 games which was 6-2, 4-4, 5-3, 8-0.
Further back was Chris Payne and Arnold Brown - Chis was filling in for Rick Power - on 15 games their sets were 7-1, 1-7, 7-1, 0-8, followed by Ringo Walker and John Walsmley with 12 games which were 1-7, 7-1, 3-5, 1-7, the other pair had little luck with four (4) games they were Anthony Newton and Pat Hazell,.
Anthony is a newcomer to our group and was filling for Stuart McKellar.
Round six will be played next Tuesday 2nd March weather permitting.
Our Mixed competition should be starting in a couple of weeks, if you are going to enter a team you should do it now by calling Danny Joyce on 0428436266.
Teams consist of two women and two men.
