Despite restricting Mitchell to 7-118 in their Western cricket match played at Cowra's McPherson Oval on Sunday Lachlan's batting and bowling line up, which included Grenfell's Alex Nowlan, failed to fire, dismissed for just 41 runs.

Mitchell finished their allotted 50 overs at 7-118 mainly due to the batting efforts of Cooper Martin (36) and Eli Morris (22).
The day started badly for the Mitchell side which found itself at 1-1 with the early departure of Jim Harper without scoring, bowled by Parkes' Ryan Dunford.
Josh Meers and Morris lead the fight for Mitchell with a 33 run partnership before Lachlan captain Harry Roscarel of West Wyalong sent Meers back to his team mates on the hill.
As is often the case a wicket brings another wicket and Morris joined Meers two runs later for Lachlan to have Mitchell at 3-36 after 25 overs.
Mitchell ramped up the scoring rate in the second half of the innings, thanks largely to the effort of Martin and Jacob Lamb, further down the order, who contributed 21 not out to the total.
Mitchell were able to put on a further 82 runs in the second half of their innings despite the efforts of the Lachlan bowlers who were lead by Parkes' Ryan Dunford who finished with 2-19 off 10 overs.
Harry Jones of Parkes, 1-19, Harry Roscarel 1-11 and Hugh Mackay (Forbes) were the other wicket takers for Lachlan.
If the batting innings started badly for Mitchell, it was only marginally better for Lachlan when they strode to the middle.
Harry Jones (4) and Bailey Beale (0) of Cowra were quickly sent on their way followed a short time later by Ryan Goodsell of Condobolin (6) and Joe Ellison of Forbes (0) with Lachlan in all sorts of trouble at 4-15.
Alex Nowlan was bowled for a duck and Kane Veney remained not out nought.
Parkes' Jack Milne provided some resistance down the order finishing on 12, the only Lachlan batsman to reach double figures as they were bowled out for just 41 inside 27 overs.
Four Mitchell bowlers finished the match with a brace of wickets, Josh Meers taking 2-4, Ned McCarney 2-5, Eli Morris 2-3 and Tom Bowles 2-6.
All four took their wickets off three overs.
Cooper Martin finished the match with 1-2 off five overs which included three maidens.
In the under 12s match, also played at Cowra Forbes keeper Tom Glasson was one of the stars in his side's win.
Keeping stumps Glasson had a hand in the final three Mitchell wickets to fall as Lachlan restricted the visitors to 96 off 38 overs.
The young glove man had already stamped his influence on the game by this time, stumping two Mitchell batsmen, the first off the bowling of captain George Field of Forbes and the second off the bowling of Condobolin's Tristan Ross.
