Swamp Wallabies are the only living members of the genus Wallabia and one of the only macropods to have webbed feet. They're herbivores, with a diet of ferns and bracken, heath, shrubs, grasses, rushes and fungi, as well as some vines. (Due to the current drought and bushfires destroying so much of their food sources, it's been suggested that sweet potato and carrots are a nutritious alternative.)
These beautiful creatures are shy and easily startled and in the wild have a lifespan of approximately fifteen years.
