Biddle scored eight fours and three sixes as he belted a big part of the Grenfell total of 128 off 21.2 overs.

The Sixers won the toss and went in to bat first - and openers B Wilson and L Saunders got the side off to a cracking start.

B Wilson sent the ball to the boundary three times on his way to 19 off 34, before sending one into the hands of CJ Dun.

Saunders made 21 off 29 runs before being caught out as well.

The rest of the batting line-up was constrained to single figures, then A McDonald came in at the end and top scored with a smashing 29 off 11.

Two fours and one six saw the Cowra Sixers finish their innings at 7/117 off 24 overs.

Wickets fell to L Beaseley (1/11), R McCann (1/6), B Metcalfe (1/13) and W Wilson (1/17).

It was Grenfell's turn and W Wilson and B Smith were first to head to the crease.

Cowra struck pretty early, with Wilson run out for four and Smith caught out for eight.

M Reid made 13 off 21, including three boundaries, and CJ Dun hit a six to made 16 off 20.

Biddle's 54 took Grenfell to a total of 9/28.

Cowra's wicket-takers were L Saunders (2/2), H McDonald (1/5), I Doorey (1/8 plus a run-out), A McDonald (1/19), B Wilson (1/18), M Savage (1/25).

We had a fantastic registration day, with a total of 26 memberships!

A huge congratulations to the members of Bribbaree Pony Club who were successfully selected to compete for Area 5 at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.

Four riders from Bribbaree Pony Club qualified and were picked for the Area 5 sporting team - Mia Lancaster, Shami Oddy, Madison Stockley and Jess Taylor will be representing their Zone and their area on Tuesday April 14.

Other riders from Zone 2 who were successful were Catelin Crawford from Tumut Pony Club and Jorja Lenehan from Gundagai Pony Club both for showjumping.

Round Two of the men's autumn tennis competition was played on Tuesday February 11. Conditions were great after all the beautiful rain we received.

The evening was dominated by one pair, they were Andrew Bucknell and Rod Freudenstien, they scored 30 games, dropping only two for the night, well done gents, they were followed by Grahame Edwards and Arnold Brown who scored 18 games.

Mark Leibich and Rick Power scored 12 games followed closely by Graham Watt and John Walmsley on 11 the other pair on nine games were Pat Hazell and Harrison Starr - Harrison was filling in for Grant Fisher.

A great night was enjoyed by all, there was some really good tennis played on the night.

MPS CHAMPIONSHIPS: Congratulations to all of our swimmers that competed in Orange over the weekend.

There were PBs galore on Saturday as well as a very impressive medal haul with Henry (first medal of the meet), Penny, Mikayla and Tom all picking up medals.

BUSINESS HOUSE RELAYS: This year the Business House Relays will be held on Sunday, 16 February 2020 commencing at 5pm. Relay entry fee will be $30 per team. Please leave your entries with Leann ASAP.

SQUAD: Squad fees are now due, please see Leann.

CHAMPIONSHIPS: Championships will be held on Friday, 28 February 2020 and Friday, 6 March 2020.

We remind swimmers that to qualify for Championships you must have six swims from Club nights in each particular event. Please note there are no Championships for 15m breaststroke, butterfly or backstroke.

We do remind you that you can confirm your eligibility to swim in the Championships by checking on the Results Central website.

When Andrew Pull first floated the idea of the Western Challenge Women's League Tag carnival he had no idea the carnival would be such a success.

Now in its 10th year, the Western Challenge Women's League Tag carnival will be held at Canowindra's Tom Clyburn Oval on Sunday, March 15 with Trundle Boomers once again taking part.

"I Thought it'd be a great promotion to put the girls and their skills on a pedestal but I had no idea it would be this successful with around 20 teams each year," Pull said.

The carnival has been full of surprises for the Woodbridge Cup maestro providing plenty of memorable moments over the past decade.

"The improvement of all the players over that time, their skill levels have quadrupled and the speed of the game is so much faster it makes it so much more entertaining, Pull said of the decade's highlights.

"For me though its when the carnival starts, all the clubs set up there gazebos or marquees and get the music blaring its a real positive festival type atmosphere."

As for promoting the women's game to a wider audience in the central west Pull said "It's certainly helped".

"It was the plan to make the day solely about the ladies and the sport.

"Free admission for spectators and players shows its not about making money its about the promotion of the game.

"Around the Western Region all the League tag teams are full with junior numbers going up and up and up."

Nominations for this year's carnival close on March 1 with entry of $130 a team.

Pull again hopes to see a good response from Group 11 and 10 clubs as well as Group 9 and the ACT.

Beginning in 2011, the inaugural carnival was won by the hosts Canowindra Tigers. Bathurst St Pats have been the most successful team taking out the carnival in 2012, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. Orange Hawks took out the carnival in 2013 and Orange Cyms in 2014/15.

Before close of entries Pull is expecting Bathurst St Pats to once again be the side to beat this year.

"They were coming to be part of the carnival but now its like they own it having won half of the tournaments played," Pull said. "They're a great club and team, they lead by example and will be very hard to beat.

"The exciting thing about the tournament is the way we do the pools so that usually we have a Group 10, a Group 11 and a Woodbridge team in each pool, so they are playing new teams, the different areas all play a bit different which can throw an upset or two."
