Inland Rail Southern NSW Stakeholder Engagement Manager Heath Martin said Inland Rail is the largest freight rail infrastructure project in Australia and is being built in some of the most complex environments in the country.
"Work to date as part of the Stockinbingal to Parkes project has included environmental and hydrology studies, engineering design work as well as engagement with the community," Mr Martin said.
The Daroobalgie crossing loop construction is being fast tracked and is proposed to start this year.
Once construction begins, the crossing loop will take approximately six months to complete.
