A Grenfell man was air lifted to Canberra Hospital on Saturday afternoon after his car collided with a power pole.
According to Grenfell Police about 4.15pm on Saturday January 18 an 82-year-old Grenfell man was driving on the Henry Lawson Way at Grenfell when his vehicle veered onto the incorrect side of the roadway and collided with a power pole.
Police said as a result of the collision, the man was trapped in his vehicle.
Fire and Rescue NSW and Grenfell SES attended the scene and the man was released about an hour later.
The man was treated on scene by Ambulance Paramedics before being air lifted to Canberra Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police said the man suffered multiple injuries and has since undergone surgery, and is currently listed as satisfactory.
The B-Grade cricket match between Grenfell Blue and Valley played at Lawson Oval on Saturday afternoon was suspended so the helicopter could land on the oval.
