The Deputy Prime Minister was in Weddin Shire last Thursday to see how various local projects, made possible by the Federal Government's Drought Relief funding, were progressing.
The Grenfell Branch of the NSW Nationals organised the dinner, which was attended by 30 people.
Present were Mr McCormack and his staff member, Shane Manning as well as Quandialla and Grenfell residents, including Weddin Shire Mayor, Mark Liebich.
Mr McCormack also gave an update on political events, answered a number of questions put to him and told some very entertaining anecdotes relating to the political sphere.
It was a very enjoyable night and thanks go to the management and staff of the Bland Hotel for such an enjoyable meal and atmosphere.
The local branch of the NSW National Party intends to hold more of these type of gatherings, whenever possible, which are all the more enjoyable for their informality.
"It is tremendous that our Federal Member, the Deputy Prime Minister, makes himself as available as he does in our part of his electorate," Chairman of the local NSW National Party branch Peter Toole said.
"Especially considering his obvious workload."
Earlier on Thursday Mr McCormack had attended several locations around Grenfell and the Weddin Shire and spoken with several locals from community groups.
