Only five weeks to go and we are off to Kingscliff for the State Pennant play-offs. Uniforms are being organised, shoes are being cleaned, bowls are being polished and fundraising has begun in earnest. Our heartfelt thanks to those of you who purchased tickets last week.

You have given us a great head start to what will be a month long challenge to raise funds for our trip. As you can imagine, there will be a lot of out of pocket expenses for our ladies, so any money raised will be gratefully received.

Besides, with winter definitely settling in, who doesn't want a large trailer load of timber delivered to their door?

We have been given two more opportunities to sell our tickets at the front of IGA, so why not have a wander down and try our luck.

First prize: A one and a half to two tonne trailer load of wood kindly donated by Ross Hunter. Second prize: A handmade patchwork quilt supplied by Pat Hodson from Forbes.

Tickets are $2 each, three for $5 or seven for $10 and will be available from 9am to 4pm on Thursday, July 11 and 9am to 4pm on Friday, July 19 or from the club at any time.

We are also selling 100 club tickets for $5 which are also available at the club. Just ask our friendly bar staff. First prize $150, second prize $70 and third prize $30.

Four our bowlers, a reminder that Pennant practice will be on this Tuesday, at 1.30pm and Saturday, at 1pm.
