An extremely quiet week this week with no major events taking place.
Two of our ladies however, Shaz Bradkte and Sonia Ingall, accompanied their male counterparts to a tournament at Parkes.
Although the ladies did not bring home a prize they did us proud by winning two of their games with their partners taking out the event.
Our monthly meeting was held on Saturday.
Amongst topics discussed were fundraising for our State Pennant play-offs, accommodation, club nominations and The Friendly Games.
Fundraising to commence
Fundraising for our play-offs is about to commence, with our first raffle being held at the front of IGA this Saturday 29th June.
Our ladies will be easily identified by our club uniform.
First prize is a large trailer load of firewood and second prize is a handmade patchwork quilt.
Tickets will be on sale from 9am-12pm.
Coming Up
Future dates will be Thursday 11th July from 9am-4pm and Friday 19th July from 9am-4pm.
Club members are asked to offer some of their available time to assist with the sale of tickets.
We will also be selling raffle tickets and 100 Club entries at the bowling club, with all purchases being gratefully received.
Ladies club nominations are on the board, so members who would like to stand for any positions, please complete a form and place in the lockbox provided.
For anyone interested, there is also a form on the noticeboard for The Friendly Games.
This is a District selected tournament to be held on Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th October at West Wyalong S & C Club.
Cost for accommodation is: 2 nights @$110/night twin room or 2 nights @$100/night for a queen room.
One important discussion resulting from the meeting is: SATURDAY BOWLS IS RETURNING TO 1PM FROM THIS SATUDAY!
Our next meeting is our AGM and will be held at 2pm on the 27th July.
This is obviously our main meeting for the year, so please note it in your calendar now, so as not to double book.
