The change is part of a new Model Meeting Code adopted by council aimed at making council proceedings more transparent.
Council is however seeking an extension of the deadline to commence broadcasts.
The meeting code was prescribed under the Local Government (General) Regulation 2005 (the Regulation) and has been adopted after being placed on public exhibition.
Weddin Council general manager Glen Carroll said major mandatory provisions in the new code include a new requirement for meetings to be webcast by December 14 this year.
"Meetings are not required to be webcast live (livestreamed) and an audio (sound only) recording posted on Council's website at a later date is sufficient," Mr Carroll said in a report to council.
No submissions were received on the new code from members of the public.
Councillor Phil Diprose however, submitted the following comments in relation to broadcasting of the meetings.
"From or before 14 December 2019 all meetings of the Council and Committees of the Council where all members are Councillors are to be audio visually webcast on Council's website; noting that: - Council meetings will be livestreamed and subsequently uploaded to Council's website - Meetings of the Committees of Council will be recorded and subsequently uploaded to Council's website.
Mr Carroll recommended the draft Model Code of Meeting Practice be adopted as presented.
