Or do you wish she’d spend less screen time and more outdoor time?
Well there is an answer to that - join Grenfell Girl Guides!
Now that the holidays are over, and out-of-school activities are being thought about, consider an organization that is crying out for girls from ages 7-18 to share in some amazing experiences that they cannot do anywhere else.
Guides gives a girl confidence in herself, a feeling of belonging, a sense of achievement in tasks that are set, leadership skills and the chance to explore what this world has to offer, as well as making life-long friendships.
At the moment Grenfell Girl Guides need more girls to join in order to keep Guides continuing, and also some new Leaders to help teach your girls fun activities, which parents are more than welcome to join in with.
Did you know there is financial help available to assist with fees?
At present there is a $100 voucher for each family member under 18 years and still at school to assist with membership fees.
We also have a uniform pool that we can look at to help with uniform.
COME AND TRY
AFTERNOON
Grenfell Guides will be holding a ‘Come and Try Guides’ after School on Monday February 11, 2019.
Our Come and Try will run from 3:30 pm – 6pm at the Guide Hall in East Street and is for all girls from 7 years +.
An information pack is also available to take home and browse.
Come along and join us for fun, friendship and adventure!
Unit Leader Glenda Howell will be there to greet our current Guides and hopefully a new group of eager girls just waiting to see what awaits them at Guides.
JOIN OUR
SUPPORT GROUP
The Support Group also needs some new faces to bring fresh ideas and knowledge to the table, and any parent or grandparent, or even just an interested community member is more than welcome to join the Group.
Meetings are once a School term for only about one hour, and when Grenfell Show time comes around, plenty of eager helping hands are needed to make our display successful.
Volunteering with Girl Guides gives you the opportunity to make a difference in girls' lives, undertake new experiences, get skilled training, gain a network of friendships and have fun.
No experience required and there are many ways you can volunteer - be a regular volunteer or help out when you can.
Become a Leader; help out at events or on special projects. Its up to YOU!
