Held in Orange NSW, the Classic Wallabies took on the Classic Blue Bulls, Grenfell had plenty of talent taking the field with Jarrad Wilson, Matt Reid, Mark Amey, Matt Randall and Frazer Ryder as well as coach Craig Bembrick.
There was some fantastic rugby displayed throughout the day. Matt Randall was lucky enough to be selected in the two side which is due to tour New Zealand later this year, Matt has been a loyal and hard working player for the Panthers and his hard work is starting to pay off. Matt, along with his new team mates, is set for a busy week with site seeing to training camps as he joins the Crusaders. Matt has a bit of fundraising to do to get there so raffle tickets are on sale at Oliver’s hardware. On behalf of the Panthers and the local community we wish him the best.
Another Grenfell player made an impression on selectors with Becky Eastaway also being chosen to participate in the New Zealand tour as a shadow player, a shadow player means that if anybody gets injured or can’t make the tour Becky is straight in, best of luck Becky.
