It was with interest that I read the article in your paper promoting the visit of a mobile Exercise Physiologist to Grenfell.
I am curious as to whether or not you and your readers are aware of our own locally grown Exercise Physiologist.
Ex THLHS captain and former Quandialla resident, Brett Causer is a fully qualified exercise physiologist, passionate about improving the health and mobility of country people of all ages.
He has established his business, Motion as Medicine, to serve country people from Cootamundra to Grenfell and surrounds.
Appointments with Brett are available in Grenfell on Thursdays at the hospital.
To encourage everyone to be active Brett runs a group for primary aged kids, “ Motion for Kids” after school, a choreographed Motion for Groups at 5:15pm and a boot camp style group at 6:15pm on Thursday’s.
It is currently only in Grenfell that he runs these classes.
The busy practice, ‘Motion as Medicine’ is expanding to such an extent that he has employed another fully qualified exercise physiologist to share the load.
I can personally testify to the professional rehabilitation services provided by ‘Motion as Medicine’ and would encourage anyone who is in need of any sort of rehab or wants to alleviate chronic pain to get a referral from your GP.
If you want to encourage your kids to be active, enrol them in the after school program or if you want to improve your fitness, get along to a session at Motion for Groups.
Yours sincerely
Jan Jones
