PHYZ X 2U is the brainchild of founders Justin Johnson and Angela Hubbard, both highly experienced Allied Health professionals with a passion for helping people.
“Living and practicing in regional NSW for more than 12 years has given us an insight to the requirements of the everyday Australian,” said Mr Johnson.
“Access to health services and professionals is limited or non-existent in some areas, and often leaves rural and remote communities challenged by chronic disease and conditions that could easily be treated if better access was made possible.”
PHYZ X 2U has evolved as the solution; a mobile clinic delivering the expertise of Physiotherapists and Exercise Physiologists to regional NSW, working alongside local health practitioners to individually assess patients, determine their goals and requirements to positively transform their life, and the wellbeing of the community.
Regional health practitioner Dr Khaled Bardawil, believes this project could be a turning point for regional health.
“Whether they’re on the land or living in remote towns, every Australian deserves to feel their best.” said Dr Bardawil.
The PHYZ X 2U website was launched recently and general practitioners across the Western Region will be contacted by the PHYZ X 2U team to book in the first mobile clinic road trip from mid-September.
“An individually tailored exercise program is created and delivered to the patient via mobile phone, tablet or PC as an app, and the exercise plan is then supervised remotely by our team through weekly communications with our health coaching team,
“We keep the patient accountable, to make sure they’re exercising effectively and safely,” Mr Johnson said.
