Club Championships:
There were no Club Championship games this week and, once again, the bowls committee urges players to finalise their matches as soon as possible.
Just a reminder that nominations will close soon for the popular Major/Minor Pairs Championship for 2018, so don’t forget to organise a team-mate and get your names in.
A nomination list is on the notice board. So far, nine pairs have entered but we would like to see more. The more the merrier, as they say.
Social Bowls: Numbers were down this week in social bowls, due to the cold weather combined with the absence of several bowlers playing in the Zone 4 Championships.
This week’s prize winners included:
Chooks –Mark McSpadden, David Ballard and Nevin Hughes; market night vouchers – Greg Fanning and Rob Chambers; Free games – Lindsay Ballard and David Ballard.
Jackpot: To win the bowls jackpot this week you needed -8 shots on End 20 on an even-numbered rink.
There were no winners and next week the jackpot will be worth $100.
