Wendy said that the Grenfell ‘Red Cross Calling’ stalls in Main Street during Thursdays in March were well received by the public raising over $1400. Many thanks to all for such a generous response.
Winner of the April 13 street stall raffle was ticket Blue A89 won by Deb Williamson who took home a Go Grenfell card.
A wreath was laid on ANZAC Day on behalf of Grenfell Red Cross at the beautiful service in Memorial Park.
A letter was received telling of the appeals held for Red Cross and include: Myanmar – refugees were assisted into camps where they were looked after. Syria – people helped to survive in the middle of conflict. East Africa Food Crisis – food and medical supplies have reached millions in the drought ravaged land.
The AGM of the Grenfell Red Cross will be held on July 27 at the hub, the next meeting will be held on May 25 at 2pm in the Senior Citizens meeting room.
