The team is aiming to go undefeated having qualified for the decider without suffering a loss in the competition’s five rounds.
This Saturday, Grenfell meets Bowling Club at Twigg Oval.
“We haven’t lost a game,” skipper Craig Smith said.
“We’ve had a few close calls, one very close game against Bowling Club last week. They’ve been our best competition.”
Smith is looking to batsmen Steve Holmes and Matt Tozer to do the damage with the willow while Luke Murphy and Dallas Hazell loom as Grenfell’s key bowlers.
Harrison Starr has been crucial with the new ball, and the experience of Terry Knight has been valuable in the short form.
Smith said the Twenty20 format suits his team.
“We have a few big hitters and some blokes who have played plenty of cricket,” he said.
The match is scheduled to begin at 10.30am at Twigg Oval, an early start due to extreme heat forecast.
