It was disappointing that so many fill-ins had to be organized throughout the 11 rounds, but never the less the competition was allowed to continue with the help of the willing fill-ins. On Tuesday night it was necessary to have two ladies to help out. Many thanks once again to all the fill-ins. The 12 men who played in the Spring Competition enjoyed the keen and competitive tennis and most will be looking forward to the Summer Competition which will commence in February.

They won three of their sets in fine style, 6/2, 6/2, 8/0 and went down 3/5, 2/6. Grant was a fill-in for Stuart McKellar.
