Our Lachlan Valley Pairs champions, Blake Bradtke and Andrew Armstrong, travelled to the Majellan Club at Bathurst on Saturday to compete in the Zone 4 Champion of Champions competition.
Unfortunately they bowed out in the first round at the hands of the Gulgong team of Scott Fitzalan and Chris Ross.
The west Dubbo team of Craig Biles and Joshua Andriske were the eventual winners. Well done to Craig and Joshua.
On Saturday, September 16 at Portland, Kerry Aston was defeated by Binnaway bowler Steve Milson in the finals of the Zone 4 President’s Singles.
Congratulations to Blake, Andrew and Kerry – it was a great effort to make it into the finals.
In the only recent match, the father and son combination of Graeme and James Hunter had a convincing 21-9 win over Gavin Johnson and Andrew Armstrong.
Graeme and James were last year’s winners of this event and, going on their performance, look hard to beat again.
The match saw the completion of the first round of the competition and teams are urged to arrange their next matches as soon as possible.
