GAME PREVIEW FOR SUNDAY MAY 28
GOANNAS AND GIRLANNAS RETURN TO LAWSON PARK THIS WEEKEND
This Sunday at Lawson Park the Grenfell Goannas and Girlannas will host the Peak Hill Roosters in League Tag at 12.40pm and First Grade at 2.00pm.
The undefeated Girlannas take on a Peak Hill team who have not tasted victory this year and this is unlikely to change on Sunday when they come up against the in form Grenfell girls.
Peak are an inexperienced team who are only in their second year of League Tag whereas the Girlannas are coming off a 66 nil hammering of Burrangong last weekend.
The Grenfell Girlannas have been in outstanding form for the past few seasons now and are definitely the team to watch out for.
In First Grade Peak Hill had been in good form until they had a shock loss last Sunday at home at the hands of the Canowindra Tigers meaning they will be keen to make amends at Lawson Park this weekend.
Grenfell will need to show the same enthusiasm as they did in their big win against Burrangong last Sunday if they are to overcome the always tough Roosters outfit.
This is a must win game for the Goannas as they are currently out of the top five and need to take advantage of being on home soil as they have struggled in recent times on the road.
Best of luck to the Grenfell Goannas and Girlannas during this weekends clash against Peak Hill.
Grenfell Goannas supporters are encouraged to come along to Lawson Oval this weekend to cheer on the home side. Full canteen facilities will be available so come on down for a great afternoon of footy.
