With 156 registered riders and approx. 135 bikes participating last year, this year is set to be bigger and better.
We are very excited and pleased to announce that Capital Motorcycles in Orange will continue as our Major Sponsor for our second year, with the winner takes all prize money of $500-00.
They are a great team and can cater to all of your motorcycle needs, so please support them as they have supported us.
If you are after anything in particular give them a call and they will help you out.
Once again we will start off at the Grenfell Bowling Club with registrations being taken from 8am on the day, with the ride to commence at 10am sharp.
Registrations for participation in the Poker Draw and the ride is $25. Breakfast, a hot coffee or a cold drink can be purchased to start the day.
Parking will be on the netball courts and we encourage everyone to come down and have a look at all of the different bikes, and purchase breakfast or a raffle ticket or two.
We will be taking a bus again this year for those who would like to come along.
To be on the bus you must register.
Seats are LIMITED, and those who came last year had a great time, so if you would like to go on the bus please contact us ASAP to secure your seat.
If you would like to come and participate in the day in your own vehicle, you can register and come along with us.
The live entertainment is open to everyone and is free! This year we have “Barabbas” coming to us from Bathurst/Cowra featuring ex local Shane Kerr.
They have been very busy the last six months, performing a range of classic songs from ACDC to The Beatles! Check them out on Facebook!
Once the winner of the best poker hand of the day is announced, the lucky door prizes will be drawn out.
We have some great ones already and we would like to thank Inland Truck Centre and Mawhoods IGA for their sponsorship again this year.
Dinner will be available at the Club and the Courtesy Bus will be available.

Entries needed for mixed night tennis comp
The month of February is quickly looming up and that means the commencement of the 2017 Tennis Mixed Teams Night Competition.
It is hoped the competition will get underway by the middle of the month, however this will not happen if tennis players don’t get organised and arrange their teams as soon as possible.
The format for the competition is teams to have 2 men and 2 ladies or if you cannot get a team together you can lodge individually and hopefully to go into a team.
The competition will cater for all standards but the main thing is to enter and have a go.
In past Mixed Teams Night competitions they have been very popular and most enjoyable. To enter all you have to do is phone Danny Joyce on 0428 436266 or Sally Mitton 6343 1691 and they will be only too pleased to take your entry.
SMORGASBORD DINNER
The Grenfell Country Club is having a smorgasbord dinner evening next Sunday, January 22 commencing at around 6.30 pm.
The evening is to honour our local butcher, Lyle and Tracey Walker for all their support to the Grenfell community over the past 38 years.
Lyle has sold the business to Nev and Emily Essex who will take over the butchery business next Monday, January 23.
The business will then be known as the Grenfell Meat Barn.
As a butcher, Lyle has served the town and district for over 42 years.
He first commenced working for the late Darby Stein, then after about four years, bought the butcher shop and 38 years later is now ready to hang up his knives and apron. He will be greatly missed by all.
The cost for the smorgasbord is $25 per person and to assist the caterer of the club, Tania, please lodge your name as soon as possible by phoning the Country Club on 6343 1634.
A good attendance by tennis and golfers as well as any other members of the community will be very much appreciated.
Young Swimming Club
In steamy tropical conditions, we hit pool deck for our first night of swimming for 2017!!
With our numbers a little low, due to holidays, it was all hands on deck, for BBQ and timekeeping duties.
Thank you to the Graham and Dillon families for taking charge of the BBQ!!
Carole and Felicity have marshaling down to a fine art and Tracey kept the night running smoothly on computer control!
Starter Crawford had a fab idea to do a novelty relay 6 x 50m, after finishing our official swimming - a little early!
Teams were organised and racing began! Special mention to Team England who came in first place, Canada in second and of course, third went to Australia!! Well done to all, a thoroughly entertaining event!

Grinsted Cup
Forbes will this Sunday host Cowra to contest the Grinsted Cup.
Mark Stirling will captain the Forbes team, with strength expected to be in their bowling performance.
“We’ll be looking for some high quality bowling from Jarrod Nicholson and the Hoswell brothers,” Forbes Cricket Association president Andrew Glasson said.
Cowra wrested the Grinsted Cup from a previously dominant Parkes in their clash before Christmas.
“We’re under no illusions about the strength of the Cowra side,” Glasson said.
“They’re an aggressive batting team – but they do give chances, we need to take them.”
In Forbes’ batting line-up, they will look to Abel Bernardi and Jarrod McDean.
Forbes will also welcome Corey McDean home from Under 16s Western Region representative duties.
McDean, wicket keeper for Western, has put in a strong performance at the Bradman Cup in Newcastle this week.
McDean made 58 runs off 55 balls in Western’s opening clash with North Coast, then went on to take three catches for the side’s win.
He caught two more in the second round loss to Riverina, then added a handy 20 runs as a tail-end batsman.
Western had another win against Central Northern on Wednesday, McDean scored 38 runs of the side’s 220 total.
They were playing ACT Southern yesterday.
Glasson gave credit to Cowra to offering to travel to Forbes for the game, which will be played at South Circle Oval from 10am Sunday.
