“Quandialla - The First 100 years” will be launched at the Quandialla Bowling Club, commencing at 2pm. This is a day not to be missed so pencil it on your calendars and come along to get your copy hot off the press.
This milestone for the committee will see the end of a huge undertaking which has seen immeasurable hours of compiling, reading, typing, editing and reediting completed by an extremely dedicated group.
As time passed the enormity of the undertaking became evident, but undaunted by the increasing size of the book the committee kept working through the check list, moving towards the day when the book would finally be handed across to the printers.
The countdown is on and that day is fast approaching.
Fortunately the Quandialla Centenary Committee were successful applicants of the Cultural Grants program, an Arts NSW developed funding program, administered by the Royal Australian Historical Society on behalf of the NSW government.
These grants assist with the cost of research, writing and publication of local history projects.
The official part of the launch will commence at 2.30pm, at which time Robert Reeves, President of the Quandialla Centenary Committee will welcome special guests and visitors. After the speeches a delicious afternoon tea will be served.
