Trained at Cowra by Danny Parsons the win completed a successful meeting for Cowra connections on their home track.
Raise A Drop, a four-year-old gelding by Eavesdropper, edged out fancied Barbara Joseph and Paul Jones runner Inch Perfect by less than one length.
Jockey Jake Pracey-Holmes did the job onboard, backing up his good form earlier this year including three wins in Gilgandra and Gunnedah.
The win took Raise A Drop’s career earnings over the $40,000 mark and continued his excellent form this preparation.
Raise A Drop put the writing on the wall for Sunday’s wins after consecutive minor placings at Orange and Mudgee on December 12 and 1 last year.
A highlight of Sunday’s meeting was Cowra galloper Zarhron’s rare feat of a fourth consecutive win in the Cowra Japan Cup.
