On Sat 29th November a Training Clinic for beginners was held at the Young pony grounds undercover arena. Riders came from far afield to gain the expertise of Mr Kevin Gorrie our clinician for the weekend. The day was very successful with 25 horses and riders under the skilled training hands of Mr Kevin Gorrie & Karen Gorrie from KnK Quater Horse Stud in Dubbo .. All aspects of training in the Western field of Halter to Riding were covered. A very relaxed atmosphere lots of fun and many hints and tips were passed around. Everyone waiting with anticipation for the next days show.
Kevin was the Judge for the day and Karen his steward both working very hard to help in any way they could, with all the beginners showing a remarkable improvement from the Training day. Our Youths were full of enthusiasm to try for the winning goal. Congratulations to them all. We are aiming to have our Youths well catered for in the Western ring. To all the beginners Well Done

Our 4th show ever and in the open gelding class we pull a number of 16 entrants. With an overall total entered on the day 25 horses. I would love to personally thank the committee for their tireless work that goes into every event. The members and competitors for your ongoing support. And to see 2 appaloosas take out both supreme titles what a great boost for the appys. Well done everyone and all I can say is if this is the start then there are big things to come for our fantastic family friendly club. Thankyou again
