We have received a donation from the Gunyah of $300 in memory of Meryl Hunter.

Our first street stall was on Friday, February 23 which was very successful and we thank all those who supported it. With thanks also to Lachlan Fertilisers, South West Fuels and IGA who generously gave us our three prizes which were won by Ron Chamberlain, Sandra Hughes and Helen Brown.

We are happy to be able to support the MPS staff who are organising a fundraiser to support the Hospital and Voices against Violence in the form of an 80's themed dress up party with a DJ on Saturday, April 13 at the Grenfell Bowling Club. The proceeds from this will enable the purchase of a sofa bed for the palliative care room and a machine to test for urine infections.

Seven of our members are travelling to Condobolin on March 21 to attend the Regional Forum.

At long last the new televisions purchased last year by the Auxiliary have been wall mounted in the patient rooms at the Hospital. Our Lamingtons will be on again this year. Our first batch orders will need to be in by Friday, May 3 for delivery on May 9. The prices have also increased this year to $15 per dozen.

I would like to personally thank Dr Patrick and all the staff at the Hospital who go above and beyond to care for Patients, Residents and the public who attend the Emergency Department which operates 24/7. On many occasions nurses are working extra shifts because of the staff shortages. We are so lucky to have this service in Grenfell and all the money we raise stays in Grenfell to further buy equipment to make life better for the residents of the Weddin Shire. Lastly the Auxiliary will be bagging up Easter eggs again this year for the residents in the MPS.
