The workshop will take place on Wednesday September 27, 2017 at the Grenfell Bowling Club from 9am – 4pm.
Financial stress for farmers is a big driver of poor mental health, therefor Active Farmers has engaged Mr Hudson, a strong supporter of the Active Farmers network. Mr Hudson brings more than 20 years’ experience in the agribusiness sector and wants to be able to play a role in helping farmers and community members in regional areas.
He encourages farmers to attend the workshop, confident that there will be a lot to take away.
Active Farmers General Manager, Ginny Stevens, said she is excited to be able to offer Tony’s expertise through the workshops, under the Active Farmers banner. “There are so many factors that contribute to positive mental health, and we hope that Tony’s workshops will be a step in the right direction for farmers and community members,” Mrs Stevens said.
Active Farmers is a service that ultimately aims to improve mental health in regional areas. Originally the service was centred around group fitness however, Active Farmers has since broadened its focus and now have a range of services including nutrition, mindfulness and most recently, financial consultancy. All that have the same end goal - to provide a proactive approach towards mental health. Active Farmers Grenfell is run by trainer Kim Broomby.
