Through a series of programs and activities, girls have the opportunity to discover new interests, develop their talents and share the experience with a group of friends. Guiding is girl led which means that the girls help choose their activities and events. In Grenfell the girls are assisted by experienced volunteer Leaders who encourage the Guides to learn new skills and take on new challenges. Guiding provides a values based dynamic and is a flexible non-formal educational program for girls and young women in a fun and supportive environment where they develop leadership skills and a sense of personal responsibility and a shared purpose to make the world a better place, beginning with their local communities.
Grenfell Girl Guides is a not-for-profit volunteer led organisation and has been a part of the local community for many, many years. They meet every Monday afternoon during the school term at the Guide Hall in East Street from 3.30pm – 5pm. Grenfell Guide Leaders are:

Membership is open to all girls and young women from all cultures, faiths and traditions. Girls as young as five can join, young women (18-30) can join the Olave program. Adult members are also encouraged to join as volunteers. Anyone interested in joining will be made most welcome in the Grenfell Girl Guide community.
Families can also utilise the NSW Governments Active Kids Voucher by applying online at https://www.service.nsw.gov.au/transaction/apply-active-kids-voucher, this voucher is available to parents, guardians and carers and is valued up to $100 per calendar year for each student enrolled in school.
