Tri-Colours trample Panthers

Last Saturday the Panthers travelled to Cootamundra to take on the Tri-Colours in a game that started with a fast-paced attack from both teams. Coota went through to score the first try making the score 7-0. Grenfell fought back playing consistent rugby but due to the Tri-Colour’s great defense they were unable to score in the first half, half time score 14-0.

The second half started much the same but as the game went on Coota started wearing the Panthers down creating a wider margin. Grenfell rallied late in the game when Lachie Martens crossed the line for Grenfell’s only match try. Final score 29-7 to Coota. Points this week went to: Players player and 3 points to Henry Mitton, 2 points to Mark Amey and 1 point to Corey Clarke.

This Saturday Grenfell travel to Temora to play the Tuskers which will be a great game so come over  and cheer on the men in black.
