The station is the first station for the Glenelg brigade area. The new station provides a higher level of security and protection for the brigade’s resources including their new tanker and is a place where the brigade can conduct their meetings and training sessions.
The Glenelg, Warraderry, Bobgolong-Eualdrie, Bimbi and Caragabal Brigades also received the keys to new state of the art fire tankers that come fitted with the latest fire fighting and safety features including crew protection sprays.
The tankers are worth over $1,000,000 combined and will provide a higher level of efficiency and quality of service to the community. The Brigades shared this event with family and friends, representatives from Weddin Shire Council and fellow NSW RFS Officers attended to show their support for the Brigades and the local Community.
