Grenfell Probus April meeting began with a minute’s silence in memory of Nancy Jones, an important member of the club, as she was one of the founding members. Afterwards, the minutes were read and all were welcomed. There were 56 members present and 25 apologies. Social secretary read out the birthdays and anniversaries, the birthday winner was Mavis Drogemuller, congratulations Mavis.

A report about the Forbes day trip was given and a good day was was had by all. After morning tea, guest speaker Greg Broderick from Young entertained us with poetry from our favourite poets such as Banjo Patterson, Bruce Simpson, Graham Watt and David Myers. With jokes added to the poetry, we had a very enjoyable time. Meeting closed at 11.45am. Next meeting is May 15 with M Drogemuller and V Penhoy on the door. Don’t forget your money for morning tea which is being organised by Young girls Gail Smith, June Brien, Sandra Latham, Joy Holland, and Janice Hunter.
