Allan Chambers who now lives on the South Coast of NSW recently celebrated his 90th Birthday. He and is the last remaining of his generation who grew up in Grenfell. A black and white photo was taken at 62 Warraderry Street. (Street No’s may have changed now). His son Wayne said “As far as I am aware the photo was taken on the verandah November 1950, after their mother Elizabeth’s funeral. Other than Lennie, the boys’ favourite watering hole was the Albion Hotel.” The photo contains Chambers’ family members. Back: Victor, Thelma, Irene, Clare, Hazel, Valerie in front.
Middle: Mervyn, Mervyn's wife Jean, Roy, Alan, Beryl, Gordon

BEN HALL FANS:
Kerrie Bennison and Ben Phillips spent three or four days in Grenfell prior to Anzac Day.
Hailing from Canberra, Kerrie and Ben work with Parks Australia and came to Grenfell to visit the Weddin National Park.
Kerrie is also a Veterinarian, who works with special native animals through the week and domestic pets at weekends. Kerrie said, "A perfect mix.”
Both big fans of Ben Hall, they were in the area checking out his stomping grounds and escapades.
Not only were they checking out Ben Hall, but found one John Gilbert at the Railway Hotel where they were staying.
WELCOME VISITORS:
Dot Fitzpatrick was delighted have her daughter Leanne McInnes and her granddaughter Jacqui Fitzpatrick from Ingleburn visit for a few days.
The family together with Dot’s sister Pat Hewen enjoyed an evening out to dinner at Fettlers restaurant on Friday April 21.
HAPPY 21ST:
Andrew Johnson was back in Grenfell on April 21 to celebrate his 21st birthday. On Friday night he celebrated with family and local friends at Fettlers Restaurant. On Saturday night he celebrated again with a party and bonfire at his father's farm. The dress was fancy, so Andrew arrived home sporting hair very similar to the American President which he lost early in the evening much to the relief of many of his guests! Everybody had a lovely time on both occasions.
Andrew was photographed with family and some friends on Friday evening at Fettlers.
B: Enid, Clive and John Johnson, (C) Hugh Matthews, Margie, Phillip, Andrew and Peter Johnson (F) Tristan Matthews, Fiona and Alex Johnson and Nicole Townsend.
