NRL Visit: It has been a busy start to the year at Grenfell Public School with all students settling in well. We have been fortunate to have had a visit from Mick Armstrong, NRL Junior Development Officer and also Jack Hetherington and Mason Cerrutto, players from the Penrith Panthers. The players spoke to the students about Respect, respecting themselves, respecting each other and the importance of teamwork. Students also participated in a Sports Skills Day organised by Western Sports incorporating various fun games, relays and activities.

School swimming Carnival: Our school swimming carnival was held at Cowra Pool on Wednesday February 8 due to our pool being out of action. The students competed enthusiastically and were a credit to our school. Thanks to all the parents that helped out on the day and to Mrs Kilby for her organisation. At the end of competition Jethro Fenton and Mikaela Hughes were our Junior Champions, Will Johnson and Lynda Hucker were our 11 years Champions and Riley Aspin and Taylor Keppie were our Senior Champions. The winning house was Lawson, breaking an 8-year drought. It was a great carnival and now we will get ready for the district carnival which will be held in Cowra on Tuesday February 21.
