Mr Pattingale began teaching in 1998 at Barellan Central School, a small school of just 130 students where he remained for five years before transferring to Bathurst High School.
At Bathurst High he was employed as the head teacher of computer studies and eventually became the creator of a new school college structure where he was also head teacher in charge.
Mr Pattingale then relocated to Cowra with his wife, who is also a school teacher, and their four children. He was employed as deputy principal of Cowra High School for the past eight years until joining the team at The Henry Lawson High School in 2017.
His wife’s family own a 15,000 acre property at Barellan where he enjoys spending time with his family on the farm, operating agricultural machinery and making the most of the great outdoors.
Mr Pattingale has been made feel very welcome at THLHS by staff, students and parents and he is enjoying working with the professional, dedicated teachers and looks forward to his new role as principal. On behalf of the community we welcome Mr Ian Pattingale to Grenfell.
