Cricket legend and former philanthropist Shane Warne took aim at Fairfax Media on the red carpet at the Logies on Sunday night.
Asking who was representing Fairfax Media publication The Age, he then told its photographer Mathew Lynn: "F--- The Age", before turning away from the cameras.
"He was coming up the red carpet, the media person introduced him to the two photographers, a photographer from [News Corp's Melbourne] Herald Sun and myself," Lynn said.
"When he heard I was from The Age, he retorted: 'F--- The Age.' "
When it was Lynn's turn to take photographs of Warne, the former sportsman turned his head away from the camera.
"You can see in the pics, you can see that he turns his head to the left in the frame so I couldn't get a shot," Lynn said.
"The Herald Sun guy commented something along the lines of, that never happens, and the media person and I exchanged a weird glance."
Lynn said former AFL star Brendan Fevola and NRL identity Paul Harragon, who were posing with Warne for photos, were shocked by his reaction.
"I just thought it was funny. What can you really do?" Lynn said.

In January, Warne announced he was shutting down his charitable foundation, blaming "unwarranted speculation" about its financial and regulatory problems, published in Fairfax Media, for the closure.
The Shane Warne Foundation was subject to an independent audit ordered by Consumer Affairs Victoria after the philanthropic group repeatedly failed to provide "sufficient" information about its financial affairs to the regulator.
Earlier this year, the foundation said that, since 2004, it had distributed $3.67 million to charities such as the Starlight Foundation and to the families of seriously ill children.
Fairfax Media previously revealed the foundation had spent up to 86 per cent of the money it raised for charity on expenses associated with staging star-studded events including gala dinners, cricket matches and poker tournaments.
