Twenty two showgirls from across the Central West and Western NSW will attend the event with Grenfell being represented by our 2014 Showgirl Courtney Taylor. Consisting of around thirty three different shows, Zone 6 is the largest zone out of eight in NSW, and will include showgirls from Cobar, Harden Murrumburrah, Coonamble, Bathurst, Condobolin and Dubbo Show Societies.
The Showgirl competition aims to support and develop young women as ambassadors of their community.
Over the course of the day, three judges representing The Land, the Agricultural Societies Council (ASC) and a past Showgirl will select three finalists who will represent Zone 6 at the Sydney Royal Easter Show.
Saturday will see the showgirls meet with the judging panel, attend a luncheon at the Bathurst Regional Council and finish the day with a presentation dinner at the Panthers Club with 305 guests commencing at 6pm.
After Courtney completed her HSC at The Henry Lawson High School she commenced an accounting cadetship with Pricewaterhouse-Coopers in Sydney where she is still currently working. Courtney is also studying a Bachelor of Business at the University of Technology focusing on accounting, small business and event management.
The Grenfell Show Society would like to congratulate Courtney on making it to the Zone Finials and wish her good luck for Saturday.
