Sandra Hughes welcomed the children and explained how Grenfell got its name. She put out toys for the children their age used to play years and years ago.
The old typewriter was popular as the children are so used to the computers.
Sandra showed them how to play marbles and knuckles.
We asked if they thought any of their parents or families played these when they were young.
They looked at Ben Halls Cave and Seaton Farm before looking at the soldier’s medals and remembering when we talked about Anzac day to the preschool children previously.
It was a very fun and informative excursion that the teacher and children thoroughly enjoyed.
Thanks to the Grenfell Historical Society for a great opportunity to showcase our local History.
