SCHOOL REUNION: On Saturday April 13 THLHS Year 10 1985 and Year 12 1987 celebrated their 25th year reunion.
Although it was almost 26 years, preparations for this fantastic event began over 12 months ago.
Joyce (Matthews) Minette, Scott Loste-Brown and Julia (Smith) Fraser together with many other old school friends sending in photographs for the Facebook page organised the day.
Many of the Ex students met on Friday night for a catch up then met again at The Henry Lawson High School, where Margaret and Matthew Lynch took many of them on a memorable tour of the school.
The group of approximately forty three adults and ten children then met in the courtyard of the Railway Hotel for a luncheon prepared for by Carol Logan.
The old school house banners of Kendall, Patterson, Gilmore and Wright as well as the school flag were prominently displayed and the tables set in the school colours.
Speeches (some very hilarious) were made by Joyce Minette, Julia Fraser, Craig Day and Gerard Carroll.
Fun and fellowship was the order of the day with most staying for dinner at night and onto taps.
The group met again for coffee on Sunday morning prior to their departure.
As well as local Robert Anderson, Glenn Beasley, Craig Day, James Ingrey, Leonie (Douglass) Butler, the following ex students, and their husbands/wives/partners returned for the big day: - Virginia Anderson, Ian Cameron, Gerard Carroll, Terry Choi, Jason Clark, Sue Flanagan (all the way from Denmark), Michael Harris, Phillip Harveyson, Scott Loste-Brown, Joyce Matthews, Craig Maxwell, Alison McKellar, John Noakes, Graham Robinson, Inga Simpson. Julia Smith, Shauna Steinhardt, Brett Sweeting, Joanna Waugh, Kovel Brus, Katrina Martens, Sally Murray, Robert Shannon, Bill Theodosiou and Sheree Webb.
(Apologies if I missed anyone and maiden names were used as I did not have access to all your married names).
Everyone present thought it was great having a luncheon as they had the rest of the day and night to catch up on 26 years.
