The men's winter competition was finally completed after all the interruptions with COVID and lockdowns last week.
Graham Watt with a total of 231 games won the A grade and Grahame Edwards with a total of 212 games was 2nd, he was followed closely by Grant Fisher on 211 games, Ringo Walker was next with 200 games, it was a very close competition being anyone's game going into the final round.
Rod Fruedenstein was far too good in the B grade with a total of 289 games, the selectors have their eyes on this gentleman, further back in 2nd place was Arnold Brown with 223 games, then came John Walmsley with a total of 156 games, followed by Anthony Newton on 152 games.
I would like to thank Mark Liebech, Suart McKellar and John Richens for filling in.
We hope to start our Spring/Summer competition next week depending on the number of players we get as we have a few with injuries.
So if there are any players who would like to join our group,we play Tuesday nights starting at 7.30pm. Interested? Please give John Walmsley on 63432117 or Arnold Brown on 0427285191 a call.
The competition is very friendly and a great night of tennis assured.
Social tennis is still held on Thursday mornings starting around 9am, come along and enjoy a couple of hours of tennis followed by a cuppa and a chat.
