Now that the lockdown has lifted the nursery is open, however there are still some restrictions in place so keep reading below if you would like to find out how you can browse and purchase any of the native flora currently in stock.
If you are walking or driving around Grenfell, pay a visit to the Endemic Garden, situated at the O'Briens look out area at the top of Hospital Hill where many native plants are at their best at the moment.
You can identify the ones you like and proceed to 43 East St, heading towards The Henry Lawson High School, where you will be rewarded with a delightful display of native daisies in the front garden of Weddin Community Native Nursery.
The entrance to the nursery is situated in the grounds of the former TAFE building.
Noel Cartwright is the main person responsible for this project.
He scattered seeds in the newly prepared, well-drained garden back in the Autumn & our wonderful season and volunteers have done the rest.
This garden also features Brundah Mint Bush in flower.
There are many native plants/trees/shrubs/groundcovers available for you to purchase at very reasonable prices & the time is perfect for planting.
