Stating he intended to present a mayoral minute to the meeting, Weddin mayor Mark Liebich said: "It isn't for discussion this afternoon I'll just be putting it to the vote".
Cr Liebich then twice read the following to the meeting.
"As per the confidential letter of advice received from the Office of Local Government on the first of September 2021 I move that Weddin Shire Council undertake the Office of Local Government recommendation to instigate a stand alone forensic audit into procurement delegations relating to this matter."
Put to the vote the minute was lost with four of the nine Weddin councillors voting in favour of the minute.
