Police have arrested and charged three juveniles aged 12, 16 and 14 following the alleged theft of several vehicles in the Young area in the early hours of Thursday July 22, 2021.

Police will allege a 12-year-old male took a car belonging to people known to him.
The 12-year-old allegedly picked up another juvenile, the 16-year-old, and they travelled to a commercial premise in Young.
Here police will allege a ute was stolen and used by the 12 and 16-year-old juveniles to pick up the 14-year-old before this ute and others were later driven around the township of Young.
The matters were reported to police and an investigation commenced, leading to the arrest of the 3 juveniles on the 22nd and 23rd July 2021.
The 12-year-old was charged with the offences of "Take and drive conveyance" and "breach of bail." He was refused police bail and appeared at Young Children's Court on the 22nd July 2021. He was granted bail at Court to appear again on the 13th August 2021.
The 16-year-old was charged with the offences of "Take and drive conveyance" and "be carried in conveyance". He will appear before Young Children's Court on a date to be set.
The 14-year-old was charged with the offence of "Be carried in conveyance" and "breach of bail".
He was refused police bail to appear before Cootamundra Children's Court on the 23rd July 2021. He was granted bail at Court to appear again on the 13th August 2021.
Police are investigating the theft of the other utes on this same date, a crash involving one of the utes and vehicle damage caused to a football field in Young. Further charges are anticipated.
