Clarifying health orders for Weddin residents

On Tuesday NSW Health issued two addition statements that included a new lockdown area as well as an amendment to the current health order.

After one case of COVID-19 was confirmed in Blayney by NSW Health on Tuesday afternoon NSW Chief Medical Officer Dr Kerry Chant made an amendment to the current health order about working from home to now include all of regional NSW.

"Under amended public health orders, employers in regional NSW mustallow people to work from home where reasonably practicable," the updated health order said.

By 7pm on Tuesday a Stay-at-home order had been issued by NSW Health for Orange, Cabonne and Blayney Shire Council LGAs for seven days from 12.01am Wednesday July 21, 2021.

"To protect the people of NSW from the evolving COVID-19 outbreak, new restrictions will be introduced for the Orange City Council, Blayney Shire Council, and Cabonne Shire Council areas from 12.01am Wednesday July 21 until 12.01am Wednesday July 28," the order read.

Anyone who lives in the Cabonne, Blayney or Orange LGAs is required to follow the stay-at-home orders and any further update to the orders that will follow.

For locals in the Weddin Shire Council area who have travelled to any of the LGAs on Saturday July 17 or after are required to follow the same stay-at-home orders and monitor for symptoms. Anyone who travels into or out of the LGAs over the next seven-days is also required to follow the stay-at-home orders.
