"It is linked to a confirmed case who travelled to Blayney for work purposes. They are in isolation," Western NSW Health said.

"Investigations and contact tracing are ongoing," a spokesperson added.

"We encourage everyone to continue to remain vigilant. COVID-19 is still circulating in our communities. If you have any symptoms please go and get a COVID-19 test."

COVID-19 testing is available at several locations in Bathurst, including a drive-through service on Mountain Straight, Mount Panorama which is open from 8am to 4pm, daily.

COVID-19 testing is also available at several location in Orange, including a drive-through service at the Orange Showground, which is open from 8am to 4pm, daily.

A drive-through testing service is being established at Parkes at the Parkes Showground (enter via Victoria Street) operating from 8am to 4pm through to Friday.

A drive-through service will be in operation in Blayney from 8am until 4pm tomorrow at the Blayney Showground (enter via Marshall's Lane main gate) through to Friday.

A drive-through service has been re-established at Molong from 2.00pm - 5.00pm today and will be operating from 8.00am to 4.00pm through to Friday this week at the Old Molong Railway Station.

As a precaution, to ensure the safety of patients and staff, visitors to hospitals and Multi-Purpose Services (MPS) in Bathurst, Orange, Blayney and Molong have been restricted.

"This decision has not been made lightly," the spokesperson said.

"As a priority, we must always ensure we are not putting our vulnerable patients and critical health services at risk of a COVID-19 exposure.

T"here are however local arrangements in place to allow visitors in very limited circumstances for caring and compassionate reasons such as supporting women in labour, providing care for children in hospital, and for palliative care."
