It was another fantastic week of tennis at the Grenfell Tennis Club for local players in the Men's Winter Competition, even though social tennis was washed out last Thursday.

Round three of the men's winter competition was played on Tuesday evening 15th June under very cold but calm conditions.
Unfortunately one player could not play so we had to play three sets with only three players (we call cut throat) one player on singles court and two on doubles court.
Top pair for the night were Grahame Edwards and Rod Fruedenstien with 22 games their sets were 8-4, 8-4, 6-6.
Following on from Grahame and Rod was Graham Watt with 18 games his sets were 6-6, 6-6, 6-6.
Two pairs finished with16 games and they were Ringo Walker and Arnold Brown their sets were 6-6, 4-8, 6-6 and Grant Fisher and John Walmsley their sets being 4-8, 6-6, 6-6.
A great night of very competitive tennis,
We wish our team travelling to Forbes on Sunday 20th June for the Inter Town competition all the best and hope for a great day of tennis.
Hopefully we have a nice day Thursday for social tennis, conditions were too wet last week so we called it off.
