HAPPY "BIRDDAY": Our own Jenn Graham- celebrated her not '0' birthday on Wednesday April 21 at Unwind. WELCOME BACK: Former Grenfell Resident and local Pharmacist David Donald, enjoyed a break in Grenfell recently.
David came to Grenfell in 1968 following the death of Mr Edwards who owned the Pharmacy situated in the top end of Main Street near where the bakery former/doctor's surgery was situated. He in turn, amalgamated with the Grenfell Pharmacy in 1974. David was hosted by Mardi Bucknell during his stay. He visited former business colleague, Roma Sinclair whilst in Grenfell.
NOSTALGIC VISITS: Two years to the day since his last visit Todd Cathcart returned to Grenfell last week. Todd was accompanied by his partner Brydie Jameson. Todd's father, Andrew who was with him on his last visit, unfortunately has since passed away
Todd's grandparents, Noel and Patricia Cathcart were Captains at the Salvation Army from 1963-67. Andrew's late wife Patricia is a sister to Terry Curl of Grenfell. Todd insisted that Terry and I have a photo with him, as we did two years ago.

MOTHER'S DAY: Best wishes to all Mothers on your special day.
Many Australians celebrate Mother's Day by showing appreciation for the achievements and efforts of mothers and mother figures. It is annually observed in Australia on the second Sunday in May.
Many Australians follow the Mother's Day traditions that stem from observances in countries like the USA and the UK.
However, it is an Australian who is credited with having started the tradition of giving gifts on Mother's Day. Janet Heyden, a resident of Sydney started a campaign in 1924 to collect gifts for lonely/aged mothers.
