The committee announced their decision on Facebook on January 24 citing the uncertainty around Covid-19 and the potential of border closures which would impact the number of entries as most of the camels that race are from interstate.
The Forbes Camel Races were also cancelled in 2020 due to tight covid-related restrictions.
One of the event organisers, Lee Marsh said it's unfortunate that they had to cancel this year but with the potential for border closures makes it harder to confirm numbers.
Ms Marsh said they are working on bringing the Camel Races back during next year's Easter long weekend.
If people would like to help event organisers plan for next year's event, Ms Marsh said you can contact her on 0414 682 754 or Kerry Dunstan on 0428 116 586.
