As the Covid-19 crisis continues to improve in Australia many people are starting to think about where their next holiday may take them.

Travelrite International and The Senior Newspaper invite you join them on the ultimate 2021 Australian stay-cation with their mighty Murray Riverboat cruise.

Beginning in Adelaide on July 15, the cruise takes in towns along the Murray such as Murray Bridge, Mannum and Victor Harbor.

After a brief stop in quaint Hahndorf, the group arrives at the first port of call, Murray Bridge, where a welcome dinner is planned.

The following day in Mannum the tour boards the PS Murray Princess. Enjoy dinner while heading upriver, cruising under floodlights to the overnight mooring at Caurnamont.

Daybreak brings a special light, wildlife and prolific birdlife. Discovery vessels carry small groups to explore the river maze and birdlife.

Overnight on day four the vessel is secured at Morgan. In the morning a coach takes travellers to Riverland town, Waikerie and Banrock Station Wine and Wetland Centre.

At Banrock Station enjoy cellar door tastings and a delicious lunch.

Caudo Vineyard at hogwash Bend is reached the following day for cellar door tastings and leisurely garden strolls. Donald Flat Lagoon provides the next overnight moorage.

Swan Reach is next on the cruise itinerary and is home to native flower and fruit growers. Enjoy an ale or coffee from the Swan Reach Hotel overlooking the river. The cruise continues to Sunnydale in the afternoon.

After a barbecue dinner why not try the Dark Sky Night Tour to observe the stars of the Milky Way?

Heading downriver on day eight you will pass magnificent cliffs scoured over millions of years by the river itself. Step back in time at Ngat Ngaut Aboriginal Reserve to view ancient rock carvings.

Heading back to Mannum the tour bids farewell to the PS Murray Princess. A coach to Victor Harbor awaits. Lunch is served at the Roundhouse, built for Henry Parker who oversaw the construction of the first bridge to span the Murray River.

At Victor Harbor the tour jumps aboard the Cockle Train as it travels on the oldest steel railway in Australia. The train climbs to the top of the coastal cliffs where you will see some of the most picturesque coastal scenery on the Fleurieu Peninsula and the Southern Ocean.

Next morning ride the historic Victor Harbor horse drawn tram across the causeway to Granite Island before stopping at McLaren Vale for lunch and a winery visit.

It's then off to Adelaide.

Your morning in Adelaide is spent on a sightseeing tour including churches - of course - art gallery, museum, state library, Botanic Garden. In the evening enjoy a farewell dinner.

The tour is fully escorted and includes over $500 in sightseeing tours per person. Price per person twin-share is $4,590 and single is $5890.
